Family-Owned and Operated by the Motta Family
Chris, Darla, AJ, Dylan & Ryan -
in business since 1999.

It all began in the summer of 1995.  While in nursing school, Chris started helping out a fellow student on the weekends who roasted pigs for parties.  It didn't take long before he was hooked - spending more and more time learning the art of carving and party planning.  By the following summer, Chris had his own roaster and was helping out friends and family with parties and events.

After graduating nursing school, and surviving a year long battle with cancer, Chris took his dream a step further.  In August of 1999, Chris and his wife Darla established "Hog Wild" - offering pig roasting, catering, rentals and concession serivces.

In March of 2007, the Motta family purchased a storefront in Olde Town Grove City.  As the town went through a beautiful revitalization, so did this old corner building that was the home of Hog Wild BBQ & More for just under 2 years.  As the economy changed, we decided to close the restaurant division of our corporation and operate the services of Hog Wild from our kitchen at Legacy Banquet Center.

In addition to the many servces of Hog Wild, Darla manages their other business - Legacy Banquet and Conference Center in Grove City, which opened November 2004. Chris continues to work part-time as a Critical Care Nurse, most recently serving on a national medical disaster team in hurricane-hit areas of Texas.  The Motta's live on a farm in Grove City.
