History of Hog Wild
Hog Wild BBQ and More is locally owned and operated by Chris and Darla Motta of Grove City, Pennsylvania.
It all began in the summer of 1995. While in nursing school, Chris started helping out a fellow student on the weekends
roasting pigs. It didn't take long before he was hooked, spending more and more time learning the art of carving and party
planning. By the following summer, Chris had his own roaster and was helping out friends and family with parties and events.
After graduating nursing school, and a year long successful battle against cancer, Chris wanted to take his dream a step further.
In August of 1999, Chris and Darla established "Hog Wild" offering pig roasting, catering, rentals, and concession services.
"Hog Wild" has grown into 3 food services and is now called "Hog Wild BBQ and More" and features Charlie Biggs' Chicken N' Sauce.
"Hog Wild BBQ and More" has a full menu restaurant with takeout, newly opened in May 2007, and will continue to offer catering and
pig roasting services.
In addition to "Hog Wild BBQ and More", Darla manages their other business, Legacy Banquet Center in Grove City, Pennsylvania and Chris still
works part-time as an RN. The Motta's live on a farm in Grove City with their three sons: AJ, Dylan, & Ryan.
